It was June 2011 when I posted this on my blog. Reading back, I could still feel the intense emotion and gratitude that I felt from this event. A.V.P.I is not just an ordinary Bible School for me. It was the event that was used by God to wake me up from the reality of my spiritual life. I have been saved long before this but the growth in my Christian life had been so slow and almost stagnant.

For me, it’s a wake-up call. I venture to so many things but the one matters most was almost completely taken for granted. Thankfully, my God is still merciful and He has never forgotten me.

As we all know, cars are designed for land transportation. But, if a car had a mind of its own and it decided to shift from travelling on land to flying or sailing, we all know that disaster would follow. The wheels of a car are made to roll on land, but when it deviates from the very object that it was designed for, namely the ground, and begins driving off a cliff or jumping in water, it will only hurt itself and others.

God moves in many different ways. He uses circumstances for us to know He exist. Sometimes I tend to over analyze situations when things go differently from what I expected. Some people would react differently from what the said norm is. And portion of them would ask why did God allow things to happen to good people?

Our lives are likely to be compared to a road. A road in which we take to reach our final destination.

I had a difficult time choosing what road I’ll be taking.

I thought that it was okay to be going around in circles enjoying the sceneries. I was going the way that has no destination. (Proverbs 14:12: There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.) I’m talking about the situation I was in before I knew that there was another way, another road that would lead me somewhere.
